A FEW OF OUR PAST PROJECTS
Below are some of our past projects, from broadacre herbicide application and Urea spreading over Wheat, Barley, Clover and Lupins to Precision spraying of Avocado and Mango orchards. Spraying Avocado Trees
We were happy to help this customer apply organic soil improver and fertiliser to his Avocado trees. We cut his application costs by over 40% and completed the job in less than half the time.
Broadacre Herbicide Application
This client asked us to apply herbicide to just under a thousand hectares of Wheat, Barley, Clover and Lupins. We were constantly hampered by wet weather but were able to resume spraying as soon as it was dry enough and got the job done for a fraction of the cost.
Boundary / Fireguard Spraying
One of our early projects was to apply herbcide to a customers Fireguard / Boundary to inhibit weed growth which would later present a fire spreading risk.
Broadacre Urea Application
For this customer we are tasked with spreading Urea over 100 Ha of Wheat at 100Kg/Ha. This tested the capabilities of our T40 which perfomed impressively. The view was pretty good too.
Spot Spraying Mandarins
This was Rotaquips first client and a great job to cut our teeth on. We were asked to spot spray organic insect deterrent onto the crowns of Mandarin trees. Each tree was given a unique dose according to it's size. Although a small task, it is still one of our favourite projects.
Breakaway Country Application
This project was interesting in that the terrain was very undulating / hilly. We used our Agras T40 and it did a fantastic job following the topography of the land and completed the job with no issues. Can you spot the drone in the photo?
Post Seeding Rock Mapping
Rotaquip was asked to map 1200 Ha of post seeded land and flag all rocks over 160MM in diameter. The project was completed in three days with deliverables sent to the client in a small easy to use KMZ shape file that they could open in google earth on their phone or tablet and navigate to each flagged area and remove the rocks. The mapping was done at 1.3 GSD.
Green On Brown Weed Mapping
We were tasked to map just over 1000 Ha of land for weeds 50mm and above. Our deliverables included creating an prescription map that could be uploaded in to the John Deere operations center. The job was conducted at a GSD of 1.2 and was completed in just over three days.
Green On Green Weed Mapping
Rotaquip were asked to conduct Green on Green Weed Mapping of multiple weed types across 100 ha of winter wheat. with great weather on our side we completed the physical mapping in just under four hours. whilst we usually process our own projects, a third party processing expert was used in this case. We are constatntly striving to find ways to trim costs for our customers as well as do our bit to reduce chemical usage. Pasture Weed Control
Rotaquip were asked to carry out a weed control scope within an area of approximately 40Ha of very difficult terrain. We were able to tackle the job in a methodical way to ensure little impact to the day to day activities of the working farm whilst keeping safety at the top of our list. The job was completed in half a day.
